Which way is the "dancer" spinning? (click the pic)http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22556281-661,00.html
I see it spinning right, and am usually very intrigued by optical illusion. But in this case, I am trying my best to even figure out how you could see this any other direction. Help me out..

It's based on perception. Your being shown an object that is spinning on its Z axis, however your point of observation is on its X (or Y) axis. Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise are definitions of rotation based on observation from the rotation axis.
Aka: Imagine that you are looking at the girl from above, in this case she is rotating clockwise. If you imagine that you are looking at the girl from below she is roating counter-clockwise.
And the mystery is solved.
Shit.. here i was gonna bust out with my l337 3d-visualization skillz. and scb layed it all out.
damn.
there is a CORRECT answer!
she is turning Clockwise.
I can switch to se her both directions, but... the shadow of her spinning foot in the foreground is only feasible in the clockwise direction.
I dunno, I saw it spinning left. Fascinado!
ummm. i saw it spinning right. i don't get it. :(
it switches directions. mine was loading slowly and it actually stopped and switched.
genius in simplicity..
sometimes my Roomba performs the same illusion.
